New website for Archdiocese of Sydney launched today

After several months of planning and re-building, Catholic Communications welcomes visitors to the completely re-built and re-designed website for the Archdiocese of Sydney.

The existing form of the website dates from the late 1990´s and was no longer able to handle the complexity of all that the Archdiocese has to offer to the Catholic Community in Sydney and beyond.

The new website is now divided into 9 broad categories. One of the key initiatives employed in the new site has been the development of a Content Management System to handle the variety of documents available on the site, including statements, media releases, homilies and columns, as well as ensuring that the most relevant contact information for each agency and organisation within the Archdiocese is able to be found easily and quickly, and that changes are able to be updated efficiently.
