Media Protocols – Imam Feisal visit to St Mary’s Cathedral

GENERAL INFORMATION

Media Accreditation
All media representatives attending this event are required to be in possession of the Australian National Visits Media Pass. Passes will be checked at the doors.

The only alternative acceptable is a letter of endorsement written on letterhead of the media outlet.

Media Briefing
A briefing session will be held for all journalists on the southern steps of St Mary’s Cathedral at 11am on Thursday 1 April 2004.

Interviews with Cardinal Pell and Imam Feisal
These religious leaders will be available for a brief 5-minute interview following the prayer service.

Journalists should gather on the eastern side of St Mary’s Cathedral.

Television
Television crews are asked to pool for footage. Two crews inside, one in the choir loft and one outside (southern steps). Allocation of places can be arranged by the networks.

Radio
Splitter boxes are located on the pillars on either side of the main aisle. Journalists are invited to choose their location at one of these.
