Bishop Porteous available for comment on Pope John Paul II

Cardinal George Pell, Archbishop of Sydney, is currently on pilgrimage in Jerusalem.  He said earlier today: “At this moment all Catholics, all Christians, all religious people, in fact all people of goodwill will be praying for the Pope in his last moments.”

Bishop Julian Porteous, acting in Cardinal Pell’s place in the Archdiocese of Sydney, will this morning be available for comment on Pope John Paul II and the mood of the Catholic population in Sydney.

TIME: 11.45am
VENUE: St Mary’s Cathedral (eastern foyer, above carpark)
Mass will follow in St Mary’s Cathedral at 12.10pm.
