Christmas at St. Mary’s Cathedral

Cardinal George Pell has again commissioned an outdoor Nativity Scene in the forecourt of St. Mary’s Cathedral – a public statement of the central message of Christmas, God’s gift of His only Son, Jesus, whose birth we celebrate.

A magnificent 12 piece life size Nativity scene will be installed in Cathedral Square, and will be blessed by Cardinal Pell at a special ceremony on Friday, 1st December at 6.30pm.

Come along and join in the prayers and celebration of the Blessing of the Nativity Scene.

Children will be treated with a special performance after the Blessing.

A number of spectacular events and carols are scheduled in the Cathedral on the weeks leading up to Christmas.
