Procession of the Blessed

Important information for participants
Please read the following carefully as it contains vital
information about the event.
Thank you in advance for your co-operation in making the
Procession of the Blessed Sacrament a successful event.
Soundtrack broadcast:
- Soundtrack broadcast can be heard on 90.9FM
- Participants are encouraged to bring portable radios to
facilitate their participation.
Start area marshalling:
We ask that you read the marshalling instructions carefully
and assist us in the co-ordination of the start area by
moving to your marshalling area upon your arrival. Please
feel free to approach any of the event marshals (wearing
orange t-shirts) on the day if you are unsure of your assigned
area.
Access to the start area will be via York St only.
Marshalling will commence at 1:15pm in the following formation:

Please note: There will be no marshalling in Lang Park.
Charter busses:
Charter busses will only be permitted to set down and
pick up passengers if they have a “PROCESSION CHARTER
VEHICLE” pass displayed in the windscreen. Passes
must be obtained in advance from the Procession event organizers.

Charter bus set down:
York St, between Grosvenor St and Lang St. Access from
1:00pm
Charter bus pick up:
Macquarie St, at Hunter St. Access from 4:30pm
Public Transport:
- It is advised that participants travel to the
event by public transport as there is no parking available
at the start area.
- It is recommended that participants travel
to Wynyard train station and take the York St. exit out
of
the station.
- Any participants traveling from the Eastern
Suburbs should allow extra travel time as busses will
be replacing
trains on the Eastern Suburbs line due to track work planned
for the weekend of the
17th-18th June.
St Patrick’s Church:
- Sunday Mass will take place in St. Patrick’s
church at 12:00pm as per normal.
- There will be no public access to St. Patrick’s
Church from the conclusion of Mass at 1:00pm.
Other important information:
- Participants are advised to bring a bottle
of water to avoid dehydration
- Please do not litter, dispose of rubbish thoughtfully
- If you require assistance please locate a marshal
- For first aid assistance, please locate a marshal
or a St. John Ambulance officer.
