Relic of St Charles Borromeo acquired

A wonderful blessing has been bestowed upon our parish - a relic of our patron saint, St Charles Borromeo (1538 - 1584) has come into our possession, through the Marist Fathers. The relic was formally transferred to our parish by Fr Tony Corcoran on Sunday 3rd February 2002. For the story of the relic, and its presentation to our parish, click here.

St Charles' Sesquicentenary Celebrations in 2001
The year 2001 has marked the 150th year of the parish of St Charles. It has been a great year for our parish with many events held to celebrate the occasion. As a community, we have regained a sense of journey : we've connected with where we have come from and we have celebrated this particular point in our parish life, 150 years on. We thank God for all these blessings thus far, and we pray for continued blessings as we look to the future with a renewed community spirit and identity.
For details and pictures of all events, including the Sesquicentenary Ball, parish picnic, Ecumenical service, Concelebrated Mass, and culminating in the Sesquicentenary outdoor Mass with Archbishop Pell, please see the
