As there is only one priest at this time between Holy Spirit Parish Carnes Hill and Good Shepherd Parish Hoxton Park the Mass times will be slightly different each week until further notice. We apologise for any inconveniences.
WEEKDAY MASS IN THIS TWENTY-SECOND WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME
MONDAY in Holy Spirit Church Carnes Hill at 8.15 a.m.
TUESDAY in Good Shepherd Church Hoxton Park at 7.00 p.m.
WEDNESDAY in Clancy College Chapel West Hoxton at 8.00 a.m.
THURSDAY in Holy Spirit Church Carnes Hill at 8.15 a.m.
FRIDAY in Good Shepherd Church Hoxton Park at 9.00 a.m.
RECONCILIATION (CONFESSION/PENANCE). The priest is available in the Reconciliation Room normally every Saturday from 10.30 to 11.30 a.m. (and at other times by appointment 9826 8977). However, this Saturday 28th August, our priest will be involved in 3 sessions of Reconciliation at Good Shepherd Church Hoxton Park (10.30 a.m. 12 Noon and 1.30 p.m.) as children there celebrate their first receiving of this Sacrament of forgiveness. There will be one priest available at each session for adults wising to receive tthe Sacrament
WORLD YOUTH DAY MADRID 2011. Madalena Cham and Christ Azzi are joint Co-ordinators of our efforts to prepare for World Youth Day next August in Spain. They invite young people of our parish to join our parish group going to Spain (and so join in the preparations & fundraising). If you leave your details with the Parish Secretary (98268977) Christy or Madalena will make contact with you.
CONFIRMATION. If there are any youngsters (Year 6 or older) who have not received this Sacrament, it is possible through our sister Parish at Hoxton Park. Parent Meetings for this in Good Shepherd Church are Sun. Sept. 5th (for mothers) and Sun. Sept. 12th (for fathers) 6.45 p.m. Parents who are not Catholic are not required to come but are welcome. Child’s Baptism details needed. This parent meeting for Confirmation is definitely not for the children.
HOLY HOUR adoration of Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament with Benediction from 4 p.m. next Sunday 5th September in Good Shepherd Church Hoxton Park.
BECOMING CATHOLIC CHRISTIANS. The next MEETING will be at 7 p.m. in the Meeting Room ON SUNDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER in which adults can learn more about the Catholic Faith if perhaps interested in becoming Catholics.
THERE WILL BE A WORKING BEE please next Saturday morning from 8 o’clock on the gardens and grounds. Lots of helpers are needed to weed, and to spread compost and topsoil. If you are not going to the Breakfast For Fathers and if you can spare an hour or two, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
